Overview
Biomedical acupuncture and dry needling are cutting-edge treatment methods designed to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and enhance recovery.
By inserting fine, sterile needles into specific areas of the body, these techniques stimulate natural healing responses, improve blood flow, and release muscle tightness. Unlike traditional acupuncture, dry needling targets muscular trigger points to relieve deep-seated tension and improve movement. At the Orthopaedic Institute, our experienced physiotherapists integrate these evidence-based techniques into personalized treatment plans to address a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking enhanced performance, our approach ensures effective and lasting results.

Overview
Bringing clarity to dizziness and balance disorders through cutting-edge infrared diagnostics.
At the Orthopaedic Institute, we are committed to providing best-in-class vestibular rehabilitation. That’s why we’ve invested in Insight Infrared Video Goggles from Vestibular First, a powerful diagnostic tool used during every vestibular assessment at our clinics. These specialized goggles allow our clinicians to detect subtle abnormal eye movements—key indicators in identifying the root cause of dizziness or imbalance.
Compared to traditional Frenzel lenses, infrared goggles provide dramatically enhanced accuracy. Research shows clinicians can visualize 100% of abnormal eye movements using infrared video goggles, compared to just 33% with outdated methods (Baba et al., 2004). That means faster, more precise diagnosis and better outcomes for patients.

Professional Advantages
Our specialty-trained clinicians have extensive experience in assessing and treating complex vestibular conditions. The use of infrared goggles ensures that no subtle eye movement goes unnoticed, allowing us to deliver evidence-based, targeted care with a high level of clinical confidence. Whether you're a patient or a provider referring to us, you can trust that each case is handled with advanced technology and expert precision.

Process
During your vestibular assessment, you'll wear lightweight infrared video goggles while our clinicians guide you through a series of head and eye movement tests. The goggles capture high-resolution video of your eye movements in real-time, even in complete darkness—eliminating visual fixation and enhancing diagnostic accuracy. From this, we build a customized rehabilitation plan to address your specific vestibular issue, with ongoing monitoring and re-assessment throughout your recovery.
